We, Weider Germany GmbH, occasionally run competitions on social media channels. The purpose is to generate advertising and marketing campaigns and to enable our customers and interested parties to win prizes.

participation
To participate in the competition, you must be at least 16 years old, reside in Germany or Austria and agree to the following terms and conditions.

Participation takes place through the competition mechanism, which is described in the post on the Instagram channel or the Facebook page of Weider Germany.

The person who owns the Instagram or Facebook account specified when entering the competition is considered to be the participant in the competition.

Participation in the competition includes consent to have your name mentioned on Weider Germany’s social media channels in the event of a win.

Employees of Weider Germany are excluded from participation.

Registration and participation in the competition are free of charge.

Participation is independent of the purchase of a product from Weider Germany.

Purchasing a product does not increase your chances of winning. Participation in the prize draw does not entail any obligation to consent to advertising measures.

Early termination, exclusion
Weider Germany reserves the right to cancel or terminate the competition at any time without prior notice and without giving reasons. This applies in particular in the event that proper execution cannot be guaranteed for technical or legal reasons.

Disclaimer
Weider Germany is not liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from participation in the competition, from the lack of accessibility of the competition offer or from the acceptance and/or use of the prize, unless the damages are due to gross negligence or intentional action.

To the extent permitted by law, Weider Germany assumes no liability for errors, misprints or technical problems.

prizes / prizes
The prize is in principle exclusively to the extent specified by Weider Germany.

Cash payment of the prize or the prize value and exchange of the prize are excluded. The prize cannot be transferred to other people.

prize determination and notification
The winner will generally be chosen at random from all correct answers submitted during the period defined in the competition description (if an answer to a question is required) – or from other valid entries, depending on the competition system.

By participating in the competition, the participant agrees that he/she will be informed about the prize

via direct message within the messaging function of Instagram/Facebook
can and may be notified via the marking function in the image/video or the mention function in the text.

If the winner cannot be reached, does not respond within two working days of the prize notification being sent, or if the prize notification cannot be delivered, the winner loses all rights to the prize and another winner will be drawn.

The announcement of the winner is without guarantee.

publication of the winners
The winner gives his/her express permission for Weider Germany to publish him/her as the winner on the Weider Germany Facebook page and the Weider Germany Instagram page, stating his/her first and last name and/or Instagram/Facebook name.

exemption from Instagram and Facebook
The competition has no connection with Instagram or Facebook and is not sponsored, supported or organized by the aforementioned platforms in any way. All questions, comments or complaints about the competition should not be directed to the aforementioned platforms, but to Weider Germany.

Data protection / handling of personal data
You can object to the use of your personal data by sending an email to shop@weider.de revoked at any time. Personal data transmitted as part of participation in a competition will generally only be stored, processed and used by Weider Germany and any cooperation partners involved for the purpose of carrying out and processing the competition. The data will be passed on to cooperation partners, i.e. to third parties. The data will also not be transmitted to a third country outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

The separate rules of the respective competitions may have different and more extensive regulations regarding the use of personal data. Upon request, Weider Germany will provide each participant with information about all personal data stored by Weider Germany free of charge. Participants have the opportunity to exercise their rights regarding the processing of personal data at any time. The only exceptions to this are the data that Weider Germany is legally obliged to retain. To do so, simply send an informal message to the following email address: info@joe-weider.de .

The legal basis for this processing of your personal data is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (implementation of pre-contractual measures and fulfillment of a contract in competitions).

If we would like to publish the winner's first and last name separately on our social media channels or, if applicable, announce it on our website, this will only be done on the basis of the winner's express consent. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) lit. a) GDPR. Consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.

We only store the personal data that we have collected in connection with the competition for as long as it is necessary to carry out and process the competition and to send the prize. After the competition has been completed, the data will be deleted unless there are any statutory retention periods that prevent deletion or it is necessary to defend against legal claims. We must store winners' data for up to 10 years due to statutory retention periods.

You have the following rights as a data subject:

sending the prizes
If you win, we will contact you via the social media channel. In order to send you the prize, we need the winner's full address, including the street, house number, postcode and city. The prizes will be sent by post. Weider Germany will cover the costs. The winner is responsible for picking up the prize if it has been left at a post office. The winner will be charged for any redelivery due to the fault of the winner.

material and legal defects in winnings
The winner agrees to report any obvious defects to Weider Germany immediately, but no later than 2 days after receiving the prize. To meet the deadline, it is sufficient if the complaint is sent to Weider Germany in good time. If the deadline has expired, the winner can no longer claim obvious defects.
